Download Twitter videos in HD
Paste a tweet link and save the video or GIF as MP4. Works with x.com, twitter.com and t.co links.
Every video uploaded to Twitter / X is stored in several MP4 renditions, typically 320p, 480p, 720p and, for recent uploads, 1080p. TokDown lists them by bitrate and offers the best one first, so you always get the sharpest copy the author uploaded. Animated GIFs on X are actually short silent MP4 files; you receive them as MP4 as well, which is smaller and plays everywhere, and you can turn them back into a real GIF with our MP4 to GIF tool.
The tool reads the same public data X publishes for embedded tweets, so protected accounts, deleted tweets and posts marked as sensitive cannot be read without logging in and will return an error rather than a wrong file. Short t.co links are resolved automatically, and links copied from the X app, from twitter.com or from a message all work the same way.
