How to Download TikTok on Android

Save any TikTok video to your Android gallery in HD — no watermark, no app install, no account. Works on Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, and all Android brands.

Step-by-step: download TikTok to Android gallery

Open the TikTok app and navigate to the video you want to save.

Open Chrome on your Android phone. Go to tokdown.org and tap the input field. Paste the TikTok link (long-press → Paste).

Android-specific tips

Grant storage permission the first time

On Android 12 and below, Chrome may ask for storage permission on the first download. Tap "Allow" to enable saving files.

Samsung Gallery picks it up automatically

On Samsung devices, downloaded videos appear in the Gallery app under the Downloads album immediately after saving.

Xiaomi / MIUI users

On Xiaomi phones, use the built-in browser or Chrome. The video saves to Downloads and appears in the Photos app under Albums → Downloads.

Share directly from the download notification

After the download completes, Android shows a notification with the file. Tap it to open the video, or long-press to share it directly to WhatsApp, Telegram, or other apps.

Troubleshooting on Android

Download starts but file is 0 bytes

This usually happens on slow connections. Try again on Wi-Fi. Also check that you have enough storage space on your device.

Video doesn't appear in Gallery

Open the Files app and check the Downloads folder manually. Some Android versions require you to wait a moment for the media scanner to index the new file.

Chrome asks to open with an external app

Tap "Download" instead of opening. If you see a prompt, select "Download file" to save it to your device rather than streaming it.

"Download blocked" warning in Chrome

This warning appears for some file types. Tap "Download anyway" — TokDown only serves standard MP4 and MP3 files.
